Talk About What Matters – Dive into meaningful conversations about communication, finances, sex, family dynamics, and spiritual growth. Engage with Real Issues – Address red flags, personal stories, and expectations in a safe, guided environment. Be Equipped for a Lifetime – Leave with practical tools, wisdom, and a community to support your journey together.
The class will be led by Pastor Ken & Beth Nienke, Andrew & Samantha McPheron, and a team of experienced table hosts who are eager to walk alongside you and share from their own journeys to help you build a lasting and life-giving marriage.

VBS ILLUMINATION STATION

June 8-12

SALEM CAMPUS: 9 AM-12 PM | NORTH CAMPUS: 6-8 PM

At Illumination Station VBS, kids will be challenged to answer Jesus' important question to His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" As they explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals, kids will discover that Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world.

VBS is open to children aged preschool-5th grade. Preschool is open to children who have turned 3 as of June 2026, with limited spots available. For elementary school programming, children must have completed a year of Kindergarten-5th grade by June 2026.

Childcare for Birth - 2's is open for children of volunteers.

Youth volunteers must print and fill out an application, located HERE. Completed forms can be returned to the Kids Life Help Desk on Sundays or emailed to sbratton@fcclife.org.

NEW LOCATION!

Student Life invites students to a week of summer camp at FUGE Camp at Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC. It will be a week of spiritual growth through worship, teaching, time with other students, and lots of games and laughter!

Students completing a year of 6-8 grade in spring of 2026 will be participating in Centrifuge, consisting of regular camp events. Students completing a year of 9-12 grade in spring of 2026 will be participating in MFuge, which works on an off-site mission project throughout the week.

Overnight camp is for children who have completed 2nd-5th grade as of June 2026. Day camp is for children who have completed K-2nd grade as of June 2026.

*When registering for overnight camp, the week will be shown as closed. It is reserved for FCC campers only. Go ahead and register your child and add your child to the waitlist. Students will gather at First Baptist Church in downtown Roanoke for the Friday night session, spend the night in host homes Friday night (divided by age/gender), and attend the conference together on Saturday. Breakfast at host home, lunch on Saturday, transportation to and from host homes, and t-shirt are included in the cost of the event. 

Parents will drop off their student at FBC on Friday evening at 5:45 PM and pick them up from FBC on Saturday at the end of the conference at 3:30 PM. All meals and needs included. Spending money for Saturday snacks at FBC and/or purchasing speaker/worship merchandise is optional.
