At Fellowship Community Church, we believe that each of us are created to be connected to Christ, and to each other through your church family. We desire to walk alongside you and help you get connected to Jesus, and to the church community. We have designed a pathway to help identify the next step in your discipleship. No matter where you are, our leaders look forward to the opportunity to coach and help you. You can begin by taking the Next Steps class!
NEXT STEPS is a class to help you connect to Fellowship Community Church. If you want to learn more about Fellowship and your journey with Jesus, this class is the next step you need to take.
During NEXT STEPS, we will be answering questions like:
What does it mean to be a Christ follower?
What are our basic Biblical beliefs?
What are opportunities for church involvement?
How do I build community within the church?
SALVATION Confess with your mouth…and believe in your heart… Romans 10:9
God made each of us with a purpose—to worship him and walk with him. The consequence of our sin is separation from God. Jesus lived perfectly according to God’s design and took our sin to the cross paying the penalty of our sin by his death. When Jesus was raised from the dead, he provided the way for us to be restored to a relationship with God. We must admit our sinful brokenness, ask God to forgive us, and turn from sin to trust only in Jesus. Then, we are empowered by his Spirit to pursue his design and are assured of his presence in this life and eternity.
If you have never made a commitment to Christ, we invite you to contact the church office, (540) 387-3200, to schedule a time to meet with our pastoral staff.
BAPTISM Buried with him in baptism...raised with him through faith... Colossians 2:12
Baptism illustrates Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. It demonstrates our identity as a Christian and stands as a public expression of faith in Christ. Baptism doesn’t make you a believer—it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart.
If you have made a commitment to Christ and have not been baptized by immersion, we invite you to register for our next class using the link below.
CONNECT Devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship...and the prayers. Acts 2:42
As you develop your spiritual walk, there are three important disciplines to embrace: reading the Bible, praying the Bible and walking in community with others. The daily discipline of reading the Bible and prayer is vital to your relationship with Jesus. You will grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God and learn how to live in a manner that glorifies Him. By connecting to a Life Group, you have the opportunity to learn from other believers and encourage one another as you walk together and share life in community.
SERVE Having gifts...let us use them… Romans 12:6
We believe the Holy Spirit equips every believer to serve and be involved in a ministry. At FCC, it takes 400 volunteers on a Sunday morning to accomplish the God-sized task to which we have been called. These volunteers use their gifts in a variety of ways from leading a children’s Life Group to helping in our worship arts ministry or serving in our café to greet those who God has brought us with a warm cup of coffee and a smile.
GIVE Be rich in good works… 1 Timothy 6:18
Worship is one of our core values at Fellowship Community Church. One way that we worship God and bless others is through a life of generosity. Bringing our tithes is an opportunity for us to give God our thanks, show God we trust Him, and it allows us to be an active part in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ! Your gifts are an investment in life-change around the world!
MEMBERSHIP Being built into a spiritual house… 1 Peter 2:5
We encourage membership because it creates ownership, guides toward leadership, provides accountability, and leads towards discipleship. The New Testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You can not be accountable when you are not committed to any specific church family.
We invite you to attend our Next Steps class. You can register using the links near the top of the page.
